We are inviting an animal caregiver to join our team in the Insectarium Main job responsibilities: - Care for feeder insects in the Feeder Insect breeding area – crickets, mealworms, cockroaches, flour beetles. Perform daily care and breeding; - Care for exotic insects in the Insectarium breeding rooms and in the Invertebrates exhibition in the Tropical House (stick insects, grasshoppers, spiders, beetles, bugs). Perform daily care and feeding; - Prepare and portion animal food according to established feeding standards and guidelines; - Immediately inform responsible colleagues of any changes in animal behavior or health status; - Maintain cleanliness and order in animal terrariums and facilities. This job is right for you if: - You can work accurately, responsibly, and patiently (even if the work is monotonous or physically demanding); - You understand that safety regulations are not open to interpretation; - You can take responsibility for your work even when no one is supervising you; - You are prepared to work in an environment with high temperatures (up to 30-35 degrees), dust, and other organic materials of animal origin; - You can communicate freely in Latvian. This job is probably not for you if: - You find it difficult to follow regulations, work procedures, and established processes; - Physical work quickly tires or demotivates you; - You do not want to work in varying conditions; - You find it difficult to take responsibility for your actions and work results. We offer: - Full-time work with shift schedule (work day starts at 7:30); - Work with clearly defined responsibilities and necessary training; - Salary during probation period 1000 EUR per month (gross), after probation and completion of training 1200 EUR per month (gross); - Sustainable social support (health insurance and accident insurance after probation period, additional vacation days, financial support in significant life situations, and other collective agreement benefits); - An inclusive work environment, as well as an open, collaboration-focused team and company culture.
