No. 90000068977 announces a competition for vacant scientific staff positions: In the FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING at the Institute of Civil Engineering For one (1) SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT position (up to 1.0 FTE) – Civil and Transportation Engineering. Building Materials and Construction Technology subspecialty Requirements for candidates: Bachelor's and Master's degrees in civil engineering, preferably with specialization in transport construction (road and bridge construction). Professional requirements Knowledge of building materials properties and their testing methods. Experience in laboratory testing of road building materials. Experience in conducting laboratory research and experimental work. Ability to process and analyze experimental results. Ability to work with data processing and analysis software. Ability to prepare technical, scientific, and project documentation. Good knowledge of Latvian and English. Considered as an advantage: Experience in participation in scientific or research projects. Experience in preparing scientific publications. Knowledge of road building materials design, testing, and quality control in accordance with Latvian and European standards. The vacancy is intended to ensure high-quality implementation of scientific projects and research contracts. Candidates wishing to participate in the competition should submit electronically to Riga Technical University's Department of Human and Organizational Development (signed with a secure electronic signature) to the email ([email protected]): • A statement addressed to the Rector regarding participation in the competition; • Curriculum Vitae indicating scientific, pedagogical, and organizational work experience and a list of published works from the last 6 (six) years (preferably with the list of publications attached as a separate annex), as well as other documents the candidate wishes to attach to the application to more fully characterize their qualifications; • Copies of documents confirming scientific/academic degrees or higher education and, if necessary, other documents as specified in regulatory acts (for example, documents confirming state language proficiency level, etc.), presenting their originals if the candidate is applying to RTU for the first time and has not previously submitted these document copies to the Department of Human and Organizational Development; • Public presentation of your scientific activity, which must be presented to the structural unit (or council/board) in a timely manner before election. You can familiarize yourself with all regulatory requirements on the RTU website. The competition deadline is two months from the date of publication of this announcement on the State Employment Agency website and in the National Scientific Activity Information System.
