Lindholmens Technical Gymnasium has approximately 1,000 students and 90 employees and offers Gothenburg's broadest range of technical education programs – both practical and theoretical. Programs include Electrical and Energy, Industrial Technology, Maritime Education, Technology Program, and HVAC and Building Systems Program. The school is certified as a Technology College, and the HVAC and Building Systems program is also certified as a VVS-College, which means close collaboration with the industry and high-quality education. The ventilation specialization at Lindholmens Technical Gymnasium is Sweden's first industry-certified ventilation education within the VVS-College framework. Job Responsibilities As a vocational instructor with us, you will plan, implement, and develop teaching together with your colleagues in your work team. You will primarily teach subjects within the ventilation specialization and partly within HVAC and building systems subjects. We would be pleased if you have experience in multiple areas such as HVAC, refrigeration, building systems, but especially within the ventilation field. You will work with practical and varied teaching where student development is central, and you will provide continuous feedback to help them reach their full potential. An important part of the role involves contact with the working world, and you will, among other things: - Oversee students' work-based learning (APL). - Collaborate with companies regarding APL placements. - Engage in dialogue with APL supervisors and companies. - Participate in industry councils to develop education in line with industry needs. You will thus become an important link between school and the working world. The role also includes mentoring where you support students in their studies and development. This work is carried out in collaboration with student health services, guardians, and external stakeholders. Qualifications We are looking for someone with professional experience in the HVAC and building systems field and with current industry knowledge and broad expertise, particularly within the ventilation area. Teaching certification is desirable but not required. What matters most to us is your professional skill and your commitment. If you lack teaching certification, we can offer a fixed-term position, and for the right person, there is an opportunity to obtain teaching certification during employment. A vocational teaching degree is required for a permanent position.
