Dackeskolan is a vocational upper secondary school with approximately 300 students. We offer education in, among other areas, industrial technology, construction, electrical, goldsmithing, automotive, and restaurant services. We conduct all our education in close collaboration with the business community and external companies. JOB DUTIES As a vocational teacher, you work toward the organization's goals and mission to promote learning where individuals are stimulated to acquire knowledge and values. You promote students' all-round personal development into active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals and citizens. In your role as a vocational teacher, you work to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both in terms of knowledge and social growth. You create and implement teaching according to schedule that complies with requirements in school law, curriculum, course plans, and subject plans. You mentor students, plan and lead instruction, assess and grade knowledge development. You will teach both practical and theoretical content. Your work includes documenting according to school procedures. You are part of a team with teachers, student support services, and school leadership. As a teacher at Dackeskolan, you also maintain business contacts in connection with work-based learning (APL), you are responsible for securing positions with companies where students complete part of their education, and you follow up and assess student knowledge. You actively participate in the school's development and work within the upper secondary school's operational area. You participate in the program's development and planning, as well as pedagogical development together with colleagues at the school. You are supervised by the school's principal. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with foundational education within a vocational field, either at upper secondary or higher education level, and with work experience from welding and workshop work. We particularly need more expertise in the education areas of materials science and manufacturing documentation, operational safety, service and maintenance, basic cutting and machining, mechanical maintenance, and hydraulics. We would welcome if you have basic welding skills. As well as good computer skills and a category B driver's license. We also see it as a merit if you have completed education or training in pedagogy or hold teaching certification.
