The Role of Vocational Teacher in Agriculture As a vocational teacher in agriculture, you will be responsible for both theoretical and practical instruction. Depending on your expertise, you may teach in various subject areas. Possible subjects include farm animals, crop production, agricultural machinery, or building maintenance, depending on your background. You don't need to cover all subject areas to be a suitable candidate for employment. You will plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction in accordance with subject goals and the school's quality requirements, and guide students in their workplace-based learning (APL). In your work, you'll be close to the students, helping them develop their professional competence, safety awareness, and professional pride. You will also collaborate with colleagues and industry contacts and actively contribute to the school's quality and development work. You are offered a permanent position with holiday pay on a full-time basis. Start date by agreement. Your Future Workplace Stora Segerstads Gymnasium offers programs within the upper secondary school's nature resources program and introduction program, the adapted upper secondary school's programs in Forestry, Land, and Animals, and post-upper secondary adult education. In addition to our classrooms, we have modern animal facilities with dairy cattle and sheep production, modern machinery, cultivation areas, well-equipped workshop facilities, and other resources specially designed for our agricultural education. You have pedagogical ability and a genuine interest in educating young people. You are responsible, self-driven, and work well in collaboration. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a valid driver's license (category B) are required. Formal pedagogical education or certification is advantageous but not required. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
