As a school, we are in an exciting period where much is happening and developing. In the fall of 2025, the social science and economic programs were restarted with strong demand. The school also offers vocational programs, introductory programs, special education activities, and adapted gymnasium education. The breadth of programs creates a wonderful and dynamic atmosphere! Tyresö Gymnasium has many committed teachers and is experienced as calm and secure by both teachers and students. We are a school that believes in the power of the connection between education and working life. Our goal is to educate the next generation of professionals in retail and service – individuals who enter the workforce with both confidence and the right skills.
About the Position
As a vocational instructor in Sales and Service, you are responsible for courses within the program where you apply your extensive and up-to-date industry knowledge in practical rather than theoretical teaching, directly linked to retail and business.
The role includes:
Pedagogical Responsibility: Plan and deliver instruction that makes the connection between theory and reality crystal clear.
WBL Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with the business community and visit our students during their workplace-based learning.
Mentorship: Coach students in their personal and professional development toward graduation.
Development Work: Actively participate in developing the program so it stays cutting-edge and meets industry needs.
This is a permanent full-time position (100%) with a preferred start date as soon as possible. This is a vacation-relief position.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who loves service and sales and who now wants to inspire others to choose the same path. You are a confident leader in the classroom and have the ability to see each student's unique strengths.
Qualifications:
Certification & Degree: You are a certified teacher with a vocational teaching degree, or alternatively you have substantial subject expertise that we consider equivalent.
Industry Experience: You have significant experience working in sales, retail, or service and have in-depth knowledge of the latest trends and requirements in the industry.
Pedagogical Talent: You have an unpretentious approach and the ability to create engagement and work joy among young people.
Networking: You have a talent for making connections with external partners and businesses.
