About the School
Praktiska Gymnasiet Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is combined with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Plumbing and Property Management, Construction and Infrastructure, Electrical and Energy, Automotive and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Healthcare, and Sales and Service. The school currently has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Assignment
This is a permanent position with 60% employment level, starting by agreement. You will teach and mentor our students in the Plumbing and Property Management program, specifically in the Plumbing Technician Installer specialization. You will work as part of a team with other colleagues. We see you as an important and driving force who, with the students at the center and in collaboration with colleagues, will develop both the program and the subject. In addition to profession-specific tasks, you will have responsibilities including serving as a mentor and, together with your colleagues, coaching students in both social and academic development throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment using shared digital documents, calendars, and planning tools.
Your Profile
We are seeking someone who is a licensed vocational teacher in Plumbing and Property Management. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. If you lack teaching certification, you have the opportunity to apply for the position. In such cases, you and the school's principal will jointly develop a plan for how you can become licensed as efficiently as possible. The position includes contact with the business community, as a large portion of students' study time consists of workplace-based learning (APL), making good communication with employers a valuable asset.
