Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are consolidated under the Regional Development Board. Vreta Training Center is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalunds Training Center is located in Norrköping, and Lunnevad Folk High School is situated between Vikingstad and Mantorp. At Vreta Training Center, the Natural Resources Program offers specializations in agriculture, horse management, and forestry, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization and Professional Driver specialization, as well as a nationally recruited transport specialization for Salvage Drivers. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered within equestrian sports (dressage or jumping). Vocational adult education and higher vocational education programs are available in agriculture, horse management, and forestry. Adapted upper secondary school offers the national program Forest, Land, and Animals. Job Description We are seeking a vocational instructor in riding and driving who can teach vocational subjects in the equestrian specialization in collaboration with the equestrian education staff. You will be part of the equestrian education team and actively participate in the team's development work and should therefore be able to work well with others, listen, and communicate. You should also participate in workplace meetings, staff meetings, and professional development. You should actively work toward the school's values and, through collaboration with the rest of the school's staff, contribute to an interdisciplinary approach. Work Group Organizationally, you will belong to the equestrian unit with instructors in both vocational and general upper secondary subjects, stable instructors, mentors, and student assistants. About You Great emphasis is placed on your fit and ability to work in our team. The position in equestrian education requires that you are flexible, can work well with others, listen, understand, and lead by example. Furthermore, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability to perform the above-described tasks. This means that you enjoy meeting young people at different levels and can lead, coach, engage, and motivate them to want to develop within your subject area. Have the ability to lead groups and individuals as well as the ability to communicate knowledge. You enjoy working with young people, which means you are outgoing and socially active, enjoy creating contacts and maintaining relationships. You should be able to communicate clearly, ensure that messages get through, and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. It is also important that you can plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently and set and maintain deadlines. To be able to help all students, it is also important that you are calm, stable, and controlled in pressured situations. You should be able to make quick decisions in various work situations with students, take own initiative, and achieve good results. You should be able to be creative and come up with new ideas to increase the quality of education and work for the development of the operation.
