We are an established educational provider with strong roots in boating, shipping, and the marine industry. Our office is located in Långedrag in Gothenburg, in the heart of Gothenburg's boating center.
We are now looking for a program leader at 40% who wants to take responsibility for our VET program in Marine Technology, with an ongoing class graduating in January 2027. The role suits you if you are organized, communicative, and confident in driving educational processes forward in close dialogue with students, teaching consultants, management, industry, and authorities.
About the Position
As a program leader, you have overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and quality-assuring our VET program in Marine Technology. You are responsible for ensuring that the program is implemented according to the curriculum and meets the requirements of the Swedish Council for Higher Vocational Education (MYH).
The position encompasses both operational and strategic work. This includes contact with students, planning and monitoring courses, contact with instructors and work-based learning placements, administration related to the program, and responsibility for the management group's work.
There is also potential for continued collaboration after the program concludes, especially if you have experience developing new VET programs, writing VET applications, and driving quality work within vocational higher education.
Your Main Responsibilities
The role includes:
lead and coordinate the ongoing VET program in Marine Technology
ensure that the program is implemented according to the curriculum and meets MYH requirements
be the contact person for students and follow up on their progress
plan, coordinate, and monitor courses together with teaching consultants and industry representatives
coordinate work-based learning, mentors, and industry contacts
administer and document the program on an ongoing basis
schedule, prepare, and follow up meetings with the program's management group
drive quality work, evaluations, and improvement measures
develop content and approaches in dialogue with industry
maintain and develop relationships with businesses and the industry
contribute to work on new VET applications and program development as needed
We are Looking for You
We believe you are a person who thrives with many contact points and who can create structure in an organization where people, regulatory requirements, and practical details need to be coordinated.
We would like to see that you have:
experience from vocational higher education, preferably as a program leader or in a similar role
sound knowledge of MYH requirements, curricula, quality work, and management group operations
experience leading processes, projects, or educational activities
strong administrative skills and experience with documentation, follow-up, and creating structure
strong communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written
good collaboration skills and a solution-focused approach
relevant academic degree or equivalent work experience
It is an advantage if you have:
completed a program leader training
experience writing or participating in VET applications
experience with quality work in education
experience in marine technology, shipping, boating, or other technical education
an established network within education, shipping, or the marine industry
