HVAC Technician at ByggVesta Property Management in Stockholm

ByggVesta Property Management is now launching a new Stockholm team with six in-house property technicians with different specialized expertise. This is an opportunity for you who want to be involved from the start and influence how the team works, establish structures, and contribute to shaping the culture, while getting modern tools and new vehicles to work with. The recruitment is a collaboration with Jefferson Wells, but you will be directly employed by ByggVesta. This is not a consulting position. Currently, we manage nearly twenty residential properties with rental apartments and student housing in the Stockholm area. The portfolio comprises approximately 2,650 apartments in total, with properties ranging in size from under 50 to over 400 apartments. Operations are based from our local offices in Kista and Nacka, with headquarters on Kungsholmen. ByggVesta is an established and financially stable company with long-term presence in multiple locations across Sweden. About the Role This is a role for you who wants to work close to reality, where your expertise makes a concrete difference every day. You are responsible for HVAC-related matters in our residential properties and will become a key person in the team when it comes to operations, troubleshooting, and improvements. The work spans from emergency interventions to preventive measures and long-term improvements to systems and functionality. The role is characterized by freedom with responsibility, where you plan and drive your own work, with support from colleagues when needed. There is also an opportunity to act as a work leader and manage parts of the daily operations for other property technicians. What You Will Do You work broadly within HVAC and have clear responsibility for ensuring systems function stably and efficiently over time. You troubleshoot and resolve problems related to water, heating, and drainage. Identify improvement areas and help prevent future operational disruptions. Support colleagues on technical matters and carry out various service assignments as time allows. You collaborate with external suppliers on larger projects, follow up on completed work, and ensure quality standards are met. Documentation and reporting are a natural part of the work—simple, clear, and professional. Your ability to communicate becomes as important as your technical expertise. A Role Close to the Tenant You meet tenants in their homes, often in situations where something isn't working. Your ability to build trust, explain what needs to be done, and deliver a safe solution is an important part of the work. This makes the role both technical and service-oriented, where customer service and professional skill go hand in hand. You have likely worked with service, property management, or installation, and are used to facing both practical and technical challenges in daily work. You like taking responsibility, see what needs to be done, and act without waiting for instructions. At the same time, you have a strong sense of service and understand that professional conduct is as important as a technically correct solution. You are solution-oriented, structured, and take natural pride in your professional skills. When something doesn't work, you don't look for shortcuts—you solve it properly. Possible light work leadership of daily operations. You are proficient in communicating in Swedish and English with our tenants.
