The combined role is unique in that you work with both pilot planning for Gothenburg as well as pilot planning and VTS for the Marstrand and Lysekil VTS areas. Duties As a Pilot Operator, you work as a logistics coordinator with tasks that include receiving pilot orders and distributing and planning piloting assignments, logging service times, vessel arrivals and departures, as well as managing ongoing administrative tasks related to the piloting process. As an operator, you have close contact with our customers and our internal resources. At times the work pace is high and you are expected to handle multiple situations simultaneously. Sometimes conditions change with short notice and you must quickly adjust your planning. As a VTS Operator, you work with modern technology to monitor and provide information to vessels about traffic conditions, possible errors in fairway marking, and other obstacles in the fairway. You are thereby an important part of the effort to minimize the risk of maritime and environmental accidents and incidents in the area. Work is performed at irregular times, both day and night. Who Are You? To be suitable for the combined role as VTS and Pilot Operator, you must have: Master Mariner's Certificate good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing It is meritorious if you have: experience working as a VTS Operator and/or Pilot Operator experience working irregular hours, both day and night We place great importance on your personal qualities. The work involves many external and internal contacts, which is why openness, customer service, communication and cooperation skills are very important qualities.
