Volvo Penta in Vara. Volvo Penta in Vara is a global supplier and manufacturer of diesel engines, drivetrains, and accessories for both recreational and commercial boat markets. The factory has been in operation since 1977 and has become an important part of Volvo Penta's operations. The factory manufactures, among other things, the new generation of D4/D6 diesel engines, known for their environmental friendliness, comfort, and performance. Volvo Penta has recently launched several exciting products and solutions such as Electric IPS Marine Engines, Modular Electric Drivetrains, and Hybrid Engines for boats. This is who we are. Your new colleagues. About 240 people work at Volvo Penta in Vara today, with the majority in production. There are departments such as assembly, machining, batch packing, heavy flow, painting, and testing. We also have a distribution department, a material handling department, an IT department, and an office section.
