Valmiera Primary School is hiring a mathematics teacher for grades 4–6 to cover a long-term employee absence.
The employment contract will be for a fixed term — we plan for at least one semester. There is an opportunity to continue working at the school permanently after the fixed-term contract ends.
Start date: September 1, 2026
Work location: Valmiera Primary School, Valmiera
Work volume: 27 contact hours (flexible to negotiate for fewer hours) – we can also offer part-time positions.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and conduct mathematics lessons for grades 4–6;
• Provide an educational process appropriate to students' age and needs;
• Assess student learning outcomes;
• Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
Requirements
• Education and professional qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements;
• Compliance with the Education Law and Child Protection Law requirements;
• State language proficiency in accordance with regulatory acts;
• Ability to independently plan and organize work;
• Responsible attitude and ability to collaborate.

• Salary of at least 1566 EUR per month before tax deductions for one pedagogical position (opportunity to receive higher compensation based on individual assessment and depending on professional qualifications);
