Virtualization Technician in one of Sweden's largest IT environments

You will work with virtualization platforms that keep mission-critical infrastructure running every day. We're expanding our team and looking for you to help further develop our platforms. Job Responsibilities You'll join an experienced team focused on maintaining high stability while continuously improving and modernizing. This isn't just an operations role. You're expected to understand the big picture, identify improvements, and contribute to development. Here's what you'll do: Ensure stable operation of our virtualization platforms Work with capacity, performance, and lifecycle management in large environments Troubleshoot complex problems involving multiple interconnected systems Help implement and further develop technologies like VMware Cloud Foundation Contribute to increased automation and smarter work processes Collaborate across teams—both technical and business The Team: You'll be part of an eight-person team with strong technical expertise. You help each other, share knowledge, and drive development forward together. Qualifications We're looking for someone who: Has several years of experience with IT infrastructure in large environments Has worked with scripting/automation, e.g., PowerShell Communicates fluently in Swedish Has secondary-level IT education or equivalent experience It's a plus if you have experience with: Network configuration in professional IT environments VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) VMware Aria Suite NSX Agile methodologies You thrive in a role with many touchpoints and have strong ability to communicate clearly, attentively, and adaptively with both technical and non-technical audiences. You work systematically and analytically in complex IT environments, take responsibility for your deliverables, and actively contribute to stable and sustainable solutions. Additional Information On-call availability may be part of the position. Work location for this position is Borlänge, Gävle. Interested in working partially remote? This position offers the opportunity to work from home up to 40 percent of your work time. This position is security-classified and involves civil contingency placement.
