We are now looking for a timber buyer who wants to join our team in the Local Purchases function. As a timber buyer, you will play a central role in promoting active, profitable, and environmentally responsible forestry among private forest owners. In this role, you are a reliable partner who shares valuable advice and innovative solutions that not only make things easier for landowners but also create an enjoyable and successful forest owner experience.
You will become a valued member of our team where we work together to deliver high-quality service to our customers. At the same time, the role will require independent work that includes fieldwork, meetings with forest owners, and office work. You will operate within an established geographic area with a stable and well-established customer base that is familiar with our service. The job offers a high degree of flexibility, where you have the opportunity to plan and manage your workday independently.
Your daily work will involve active contact and dialogue with private forest owners. By listening to and understanding their needs, you will be able to offer our diverse services in areas such as harvesting and forest management. You are also an important part of the internal process that ensures our commitments to customers are fulfilled as agreed. You will thereby be the link between our company and the forest owners, making your role both rewarding and meaningful.
The purchasing area we are seeking to fill is Kristinehamn, Karlskoga, and Nora with surrounding areas, with office placement in Filipstad or Karlstad. You will report to the Market Area Manager for Local Purchases.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with solid knowledge of the forestry sector who is motivated by and feels confident and comfortable doing business. You enjoy contacting new people and have the ability to build trust and confidence. We highly value your interest in service and building long-term relationships!
Skills and qualifications we believe you have:
Forestry education and/or professional experience in the field
Sales experience
Comfortable in social settings with good communication skills
Drive to achieve goals and results
Good computer skills and administrative ability
You speak and write Swedish fluently
B-class driver's license
