Organizationally, community development is under the Municipal Development Administration and has a central role in the municipality's sustainable growth and development. The Municipal Development Administration is divided into five different units: Environment and Building, Community Development, Technical Services, Leisure and Tourism, and Food and Meals. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES With us, you will be offered a varied and diverse job where you will have the opportunity to participate in the early stages of strategic planning, participate in design and construction phases of renovation and new construction projects. As a traffic engineer, you work to ensure that Vingåker Municipality has a safe traffic environment in connection with planning, construction, and maintenance of roads. In your role, you will be responsible for authority functions within the traffic field. You receive and review traffic organization applications, develop local traffic regulations, and review building permits, excavation permits, and handle invoicing. You will work closely with our Technical Department and assist in work such as asphalt planning. You will work with traffic surveys, traffic planning, and develop ordinances and traffic safety measures. You issue exemptions and local traffic regulations based on applicable legislation. Your responsibilities include maintaining contact with the public, businesses, property companies, and interest organizations on traffic matters, as well as being a contact person toward the Swedish Transport Administration and other authorities. When needed, you will present matters to the Municipal Development Board. As a traffic expert, you will be involved in the department's work with detailed planning and remittance statements. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant university or college education within the traffic field, community planning, or equivalent. You may also have similar work experience that we assess as equivalent. We would like to see that you have experience working with traffic safety, traffic planning, and have good knowledge of laws and regulations within the traffic field. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and are relationship-building by easily making contacts. You build trust and confidence with residents, colleagues, and elected officials through clarity in both verbal and written communication. You work systematically, take great responsibility, and have a good ability to independently drive and participate in projects toward jointly established goals. As a person, you are outgoing and enjoy extensive contact with the public and other external stakeholders and authorities. You are thorough, work in a structured manner, and can independently plan your work. We see it as an advantage if you have a B-category driver's license.
