Job Description Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then a job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to the routines in the department functioning as they should. You play a major role in stability and security for our clients, and are responsible for the basics of daily life such as cleaning, cooking, and more. You help maintain order and security at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help our clients get the safety and security they need to break established behaviors. Together with your team of engaged colleagues such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change and that permeates our approach, our engagement, and our mindset. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekends. As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training over 10 weeks. The training alternates theory with supervised introduction and equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to cooperate with others and like to share your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant subject area. (Exceptions to the requirement for at least two years of post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to section 5, chapter 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).) B-level driver's license. Good Swedish in speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have: Experience working in psychiatry or LSS. Experience working in client-facing positions at the Correctional Service, for example as a correctional officer. Education in care and support. At SiS we value good collegiality.
