Bergstrands Gymnasium is located in Johannesfred, centrally in Bromma. The school has excellent commuting options with nearby bus and light rail stations. At the school, students study the Electrical and Energy Program, as well as the Automotive and Transportation Program and the Construction and Civil Engineering Program. The facilities are spacious and equipped with the latest technology. Everything has been built and designed for optimal teaching. You will join a school with a good work environment, well-functioning structures, an open and pleasant atmosphere where students and teachers maintain close contact with one another. Your Responsibilities As an electrical teacher at Bergstrands Gymnasium, you will work with two vocational teaching colleagues to oversee the Electrical and Energy Program. Together, you will drive the development of the education in line with industry requirements and expectations so that your students are as prepared for working life as possible. As a vocational teacher in the Electrical and Energy Program, you will teach students with the goal of preparing them for certification as an electrician. The role involves standard teaching tasks such as planning, teaching, documenting, assessing, and grading. An important part of the position is APL—work-based learning. This means you maintain contact with workplaces, collaborate closely with mentors in the industry, and help students secure relevant internships and establish strong connections between education and working life. Mentoring is also part of the role. Your Profile Clockwork is now recruiting an electrical teacher for Bergstrands Gymnasium in Stockholm. We are looking for someone with a vocational teacher qualification and teaching certification, or someone currently completing or close to completing vocational teacher training. Additionally, you must be a certified electrician with substantial work experience in the field. If you do not currently hold teaching certification, Bergstrands can help you obtain it. If you come directly from the industry, it is an asset if you have experience as a lead technician, project manager, mentor for students during their work-based learning, and/or have onboarded new employees at your workplace. To be successful and sustainable in this role, we are looking for someone who is relational and able to meet all students in the best way possible, collaborative since you will work closely with your colleagues, and creative in how you adapt your teaching to reach your students.
