Alma Assistans is a committed company that, in collaboration with our clients, creates personalized assistance. We work closely with our clients and know that good relationships are key to well-functioning assistance. We operate throughout Sweden with our main office in Uppsala and local offices in Gävle, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Jönköping, and Växjö. Immediate start! We are looking for a substitute assistant for a happy, lively, and active 11-year-old girl. She is a forward-thinking, active girl who loves to play and have fun! Discovering and exploring new things is very exciting for her. She enjoys building with blocks, exploring how things work and their shapes, and loves playing in the park or in the forest. The girl lives in Skyttorp with her family. Good train and bus connections are available. Assistance is also provided at the family's house in Denmark during school breaks. It is important that you are thorough as there is medical equipment such as a manual suction device, saturation monitor, oxygen, and inhalation equipment. Experience with tube feeding, TAKK/sign language, visual supports, or communication programs, children with autism and hyperactivity is a merit. Training in respiratory monitoring, oxygen therapy, and emergency care will be provided by an experienced nurse through Home Pediatric Care at the Academic Children's Hospital. The girl needs help in her daily life with hygiene and care of her gastrostomy, medications, inhalation treatment, adapted drinks and food, respiratory monitoring, and high-flow oxygen therapy with MyAirvo 2 during sleep. This also includes motor and movement training in the form of play and exercises as well as sign language training. You will follow her throughout her day and be present at school, medical appointments, outings, and family trips. As her assistant, you will be with her in both indoor and outdoor activities. The girl has no speech but is very communicative through sounds, sign language, and body language. You will be her interpreter and translator to people she meets. She uses TalkPad. The assistant helps and supports her in communication with TAKK and TalkPad. Therefore, good Swedish is required, both spoken and written. We are looking for someone who is calm and observant with great patience. You are comfortable working independently. You are experienced in caring for children and have work experience in healthcare. You maintain a childlike spirit and enjoy activating and playing with children. Since the work is in a family with children, we place great importance on personal suitability. This is an active, alert assistance role divided into 2-3 shifts over 24 hours. We are looking for someone who can work day shifts on weekdays at school, but also at the client's home. Most shifts will be daytime and evening. There will also be two night shifts, all on a 4-week rotating schedule. You are a non-smoker. You need to have fluent Swedish, both spoken and written. The substitute position is scheduled for 12 months but can be terminated early if the regular assistant returns earlier. Possibility of full-time work during the summer.
