We are now seeking a personal assistant for a position of approximately 80%, with start date as soon as possible. About Me: I am a happy and active 12-year-old boy living with my mom, dad, and two younger brothers in Linköping. During the day I go to school, but after school, in the evenings, and on weekends I need support from my assistants. Life with me is usually fast-paced. I love being outdoors, doing fun activities, and staying active. Some of my favorite activities include jumping on a trampoline, swimming, listening to music, swinging, playing with my younger brothers, taking short walks in the forest and around the neighborhood, and riding a cargo bike when the weather permits. I also really enjoy going to the swimming pool. I also participate in activities such as music therapy and Händelseriket. As my assistant, you will join me in these activities and be an important part of my daily life. Who Are You? I'm looking for someone who has kept their childlike spirit and enjoys playing, roughhousing, and organizing activities. You are positive, engaged, and enjoy being active. At the same time, you are calm, responsible, and can work independently. Since I don't communicate with spoken words, you need to be attentive, observant, and patient in waiting for me. I express myself through body language and sounds, and it's important that you can read my signals and notice how I'm doing. I understand spoken language in simple instructions and phrases. Often, however, I am clear about what I want. I also want you to be positive and able to help me learn new things. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, personal chemistry, and ability to collaborate. About the Position: Your workplace is wherever I am, based from my home in Linköping. You will help me in all daily situations and join me in leisure activities, outings, and other adventures. I have a cognitive disability and need help performing all activities in daily life as well as support in interaction and communication. I need a lot of active help with eating, using the toilet, getting dressed, and playing. I can walk on my own but sometimes need support to get around. For longer distances I use a wheelchair or all-terrain vehicle. Sometimes I become extra energetic and active and run around, so you need to be in good physical condition, be able to keep up, and help me avoid situations that might involve risks. Requirements: Good physical condition Non-smoker Able to swim Good knowledge of the Swedish language Meritorious: Experience working in care and support Experience working with children Work Time and Employment Level: The position is approximately 80%. Working hours vary but are typically: Weekdays 2:00 PM–7:30 PM Weekends 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Start Date: Start date is by agreement. Preferably as soon as possible. Salary: Fixed hourly wage by agreement. Other compensation is provided according to the collective agreement.
