Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe office handles the entire process from admission to examination and graduation ceremony for one bachelor's program, seven master's programs, and a number of courses at both advanced and doctoral levels. The tasks vary throughout an academic year and follow the structure and organization of the educational programs. For example, in the spring, new students are admitted while students at the end of their studies are writing their theses.
We are now seeking an education coordinator to work primarily with the international bachelor's program in development studies. The role of education coordinator includes study administration and academic advising. The work involves coordinating and handling student matters, admissions, support to teachers, academic advising, and communication work via, among other platforms, the learning platform Canvas. The work involves close collaboration with the program director.
The tasks include:
program and course admissions and registration
exercise of public authority, such as handling credit transfer, study leave, and grade reporting
academic advising and guidance
information meetings with students
following up with students receiving pedagogical support
student events
administrative support to the management team and program director
The work involves frequent contact with teachers, students, and other administrators at the faculty. It requires that you can independently structure, plan, coordinate, and manage a large number of study administration matters and processes, while also working closely with colleagues in the office. Communication takes place largely in English. You will also participate in development work within the office. Tasks may change over time in accordance with operational needs.

The work is service-oriented and characterized by seasonal variations where different tasks must be solved in parallel, often within tight timeframes and with daily contact with both international and Swedish students. You therefore need to be persistent, able to drive progress and structure your work while maintaining a focus on good service. We work in teams that require close collaboration and a humble approach where everyone is a team player.
