The Department of Communication is now seeking a university lecturer for a limited-term part-time position. The employment runs from October 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027 at 73%. Duties and responsibilities The duties involve course responsibility, teaching, supervision, and examination as follows: Course responsibility, teaching, and examination in Swedish in the introductory course in media and communication science, the module Media Content and Media Analysis (MKVA14:3) Course responsibility, supervision, and examination of B-theses in Swedish in the advanced course in media and communication science, MKVA22:4. Course responsibility, teaching, and examination in journalism science theory and method in Swedish in the bachelor's course in journalism, JOUK10:2. Course responsibility and supervision of degree projects in Swedish in the bachelor's course in journalism, JOUK010:3. Course responsibility, teaching, and examination in Swedish may also be added in the module on actors, practices, and strategies in opinion formation in the advanced course in media and communication science, MKVA22:2. Qualifications Requirements for employment: Master's degree in media and communication science, journalism, or equivalent Experience with course responsibility and teaching in media and communication science Very good proficiency in Swedish language, knowledge of Swedish grammar, and understanding of how Swedish is used in academic writing Meticulousness, collaboration, and organizational skills Higher education pedagogical training and higher education pedagogical courses of at least 5 weeks equivalent Meriting factors for employment: Experience with course responsibility and examination of practical theses in media and communication science Experience supervising and examining theses in media and communication science and/or journalism Knowledge of political communication and opinion formation in the Swedish context Knowledge of text-analytical methods Experience teaching the courses covered by this position Experience supporting students' writing development in Swedish Other information The employment is a substitute position starting October 1, 2026 or by agreement and running until January 31, 2027.
