The Learning and Culture Administration in Nybro Municipality operates preschools, preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, school childcare, upper secondary schools, and municipal adult education including Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and special education for adults. Within the administration, there is education in glasswork through the National Glass School in Pukeberg, as well as commissioned education and vocational higher education programs. The Learning and Culture Administration also oversees libraries, cultural schools, cultural centers with cinemas, youth center activities, and general cultural matters. We are now seeking a substitute safety pedagogue with a start date of October 5. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a safety pedagogue at Madesjöskolan 7-9, you have a central role in creating a safe, inclusive, and learning-friendly school environment. You work in a preventive, promotive, and interventive manner with students and guardians, and are part of the school's student welfare team. Your duties include: Building positive relationships with students and being a present adult in the school's daily life. Actively working to prevent harassment, conflicts, exclusion, and problematic school absenteeism. Implementing safety-promoting measures both individually and in groups. Participating in the school's work on safety, well-being, core values, and equal treatment. Working closely with teachers, student welfare, school leadership, and guardians to support students' development and goal achievement. Following up and documenting interventions and participating in investigations of harassment. Being visible in the school's common areas such as hallways, common rooms, cafeteria, and schoolyard. Contributing to the development of the school's preventive work on social sustainability, attendance, and mental health. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in young people's development and who is confident, stable, and relationship-building in your work. To be a suitable candidate for the position, we see that you: Have education as a social pedagogue or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Have experience working with young people, preferably in schools or other educational settings. Have the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Are communicative, attentive, and solution-focused. Have good knowledge of core values work, conflict management, and student welfare promotion. Are independent, responsible, and able to structure and prioritize your work. Have good digital skills and good documentation abilities. Share the school's vision that all students should be given the conditions to develop, feel safe, and succeed in their education. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Experience with attendance-promoting measures, safety work, and collaboration with student welfare is meritorious. A criminal record check is required to be considered for this position.
