We are looking for a substitute nurse at Kullen Ekerö until the end of the year with the possibility of extension. Kullen is located at Ekerö center and consists of 8 departments with a total of 82 residential places. Our residents have either cognitive difficulties or somatic diseases. We are a dementia-certified residential facility, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia care and interaction through Silviahemmet. About the role You are the key person around the residents' health and medical care and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical prescriptions are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in the operations. Your experience and knowledge You are a licensed nurse and we would like to see that you have worked a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-ill and this requires that you have both comprehensive knowledge about various diseases and conditions, as well as an interest in the aging person. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important. An important role for you is to coach and train the care staff so that together you provide each resident with the best possible life. In this work you work closely with the facility's group managers who are responsible for the care staff. Our group managers also coach and work together with the teams in the daily work. Getting to know the residents Understanding the residents' wishes and seeing small changes in their health and medical condition is often crucial for correct assessments and decisions.
