Maana was founded in 2010 and is today one of Sweden's largest girls' support organizations. We are now seeking an interim coordinator who, together with a colleague, will work with the organization's support and education programs.
This position is a parental leave cover at 80%. Start date is preliminary in October/November 2026 or by agreement. Since the exact date of the regular employee's parental leave has not yet been determined, the start date and length of the interim position may be adjusted. We will be transparent about the conditions throughout the recruitment process.
Main responsibilities
As a coordinator responsible for support and education, you will work closely with a colleague, where you together share responsibility for the nonprofit support operations and the association's educational initiatives. The role involves coordinating, developing, and quality-assuring parts of the operations, as well as helping Maana reach more young people and adults around youth.
You will work with:
· Coordination and development of nonprofit support services
· Recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers
· Planning and implementation of internal and external training programs
· Delivering lectures, workshops, and educational initiatives
· Quality development, procedures, documentation, and follow-up
· Contact with volunteers, partner organizations, and external actors
· Contributing to sustainability, long-term viability, and accessibility in support services
· Operations planning and development work within the association
· External representation
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who stands behind Maana's feminist values and wants to work for an equal society free from violence and oppression. You have a strong commitment to children and young people's rights and want to be part of developing support services where young people are listened to, believed, and taken seriously.
You have experience in training, supervising, or speaking to groups. You also have knowledge of young people, mental health, violence, vulnerability, and supportive conversations. Since this role involves both coordination and development work, you need to be organized, self-driven, and confident in moving processes forward. You also need to be comfortable working closely with a colleague, sharing responsibility, and finding good working methods together.
We believe you:
· Have experience in support services, social work, education, or nonprofit organizing
· Have strong ability to coordinate, plan, and follow up on work
· Are confident in delivering training, lectures, and workshops
· Have knowledge of different forms of violence and young people's particular vulnerabilities
· Have good experience with digital tools and digital communication
· Express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing
· Are comfortable working both independently and together with others
· Have a norm-critical and inclusive approach
It is an advantage if you have post-secondary education in, for example, social work, pedagogy, behavioral science, gender studies, public health, or other relevant field. It is also an advantage if you have experience in the nonprofit sector, volunteer coordination, supervision, MI or other conversation or supervision methods.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
In this role, you will be an important contact person for volunteers, colleagues, and external actors. This requires attentiveness, clarity, and the ability to build trust. You need to be able to manage many things at once, prioritize when circumstances change, and provide stability even when work is intensive.
We are looking for someone who is engaged, responsible, and unpretentious. You are comfortable meeting people, have good collaboration skills, and want to contribute to a workplace where we help each other, think together, and develop services based on young people's needs.
About the workplace
Maana is a feminist, politically and religiously independent nonprofit association. The organization is based in Gothenburg and operates throughout Western Sweden and has national support services. The association conducts educational programs targeting adults who meet children and young people in various capacities. The association works according to a three-year strategy, where operations have clear goals and are continuously followed up.
Interviews take place on a rolling basis, with a break during the vacation period.
