The school admits students with severe language disorders from across the country. The school has a clear focus on language-supportive and language-developmental instruction and adapts the school day based on students' individual needs. Teaching is based on the special school ordinance according to primary school or adapted primary school curricula. The school's goal is for students to have the conditions to reach their knowledge objectives, be included and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We have skilled and engaged staff with high competence. The language-developmental approach permeates our pedagogical work, and we have a student-centered student welfare team. We would very much like to meet you. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES The role involves working as pedagogical support to students during the school day as well as work in the afterschool program. As a substitute with us, you work together with knowledgeable and experienced colleagues to create a safe, accessible, and stimulating learning environment for students. The role involves work in the classroom and in the afterschool program, where you contribute to supporting students' development, learning, and social interaction throughout the day. We work in small student groups to create good conditions for learning, safety, and inclusion. Particular focus is placed on promoting students' language, communication, and knowledge development. The role also includes documentation related to students' development and learning. Work with us requires close collaboration with students' guardians and other actors important for students' health, development, and learning. You will also receive support from special education teachers in the student welfare team, an IT pedagogue, school counselor, psychologist, school nurse, and speech-language pathologist. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with: Education: • Preschool teacher or Afterschool program teacher Work experience: • Experience working with children in need of special support. • Experience working with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities. • Experience using IT and media in activities. • Experience with AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). Other knowledge: • You have the ability to see each individual student's conditions and possibilities. Language skills and communication methods: • You express yourself well in speech and writing. IT skills: • Good IT skills. Meritorious if you have: • Teaching certification as a Preschool teacher or Afterschool program teacher • Experience working with students with severe language disorders. Personal qualities: You are flexible in your working approach, solution-oriented, and have experience working collaboratively in teams around children/student groups. Both independently and with others, you contribute to creating a safe and trusting environment based on mutual respect and good relationships. You have personal maturity, integrity, and are initiative-taking. You have good communicative and collaborative abilities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: By agreement, end date: 2026-12-23. You must be able to be on-site to meet our students in person. A criminal record check will be shown for verification before employment.
