The Department of Children and Education operates 53 preschools, 27 primary schools, and one upper secondary school with three units plus several shared facilities such as special education schools. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like a teaching position focused on instruction and student development? Do you enjoy teaching different subjects and adapting your teaching to students' needs? Then this might be the position for you! As a substitute teacher with us, you will primarily teach physics within the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Depending on your qualifications and the school's needs, your teaching may also include one or more other subjects, such as German, biology, history, mathematics, Swedish, and English. You are responsible for planning, delivering, and following up on instruction, as well as creating favorable conditions for student learning and development. The position also includes assessment and grading according to current governing documents. If you lack teacher certification, grading will be conducted together with a certified teacher. The position has a primary focus on teaching. Depending on your experience and the school's needs, mentoring and other collaborative team duties may also be relevant. You will be part of a team where we collaborate around student learning and instruction, together contributing to a safe and developmental learning environment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and certification to teach one or more of the following subjects: German, biology, history, mathematics, Swedish, and English. We are also interested in candidates who lack teacher certification but have relevant teaching experience. Since we are an international school, parts of the instruction are conducted in English. You therefore need to feel confident using English in your work. Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.
