Lerum is a Super Municipality! We are now seeking a substitute for one of our municipal lawyers who will be on parental leave. The municipal lawyer has an important role in the municipality with the mandate to support both administration and politics and to ensure that the democratic process is conducted correctly and with legal certainty at all levels. The position is centrally placed in the administration. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a municipal lawyer, you need to have great commitment and interest in contributing to the municipality's development within your area of expertise. You support all of the municipality's operations with legal advice in complex situations to guide and present legally sound solutions with a focus on what is best for the administration as a whole. The municipal lawyers develop the municipality's central legal support function and you work together broadly within all legal areas relevant to the municipality, such as municipal and administrative law, public access and confidentiality, urban development, data protection, contract law, school and social law. The tasks are both operational and strategic in nature and include: * Support and advice on legal matters for all of the municipality's operations. * Writing legal investigations and legal assessments. * Handling and preparing cases for political consideration. * Participating in operations development to increase competence in relevant legislation and established governing documents. * Following legal developments at both national and international levels. * Training both administration and elected officials. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a law degree. To succeed in the assignment, you need to have broad general legal competence and experience working in public operations. Experience with the municipal decision-making process and previous work as a municipal lawyer is a merit. As a person, you are solution-focused and open to new ways of working. You work efficiently, both independently and in collaboration with others, prioritize the needs of the operations, and have the ability to prioritize. You are responsible and structured with high integrity. The assignment involves both driving and developing the function's role in the organization and supporting and consulting handlers, managers, and elected officials. It is therefore important that you have good collaboration skills, high flexibility, and a service orientation. You need to be able to express and convey solutions in both simpler and more complex matters in a clear and understandable way. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
