Do you want to help shape the future of social services with a focus on sustainable leadership and development? Are you looking for a meaningful management position where you can make a real difference?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing and challenging the status quo in an area where your work is of the utmost importance to society. In a position that is both complex, rewarding, and developmental, we offer you a unique opportunity to lead an operation where we place both citizens and employees at the center.
The Workplace
Individual and Family Services (IFO) in Ludvika is a committed organization with short decision-making paths, proximity to one another, and a culture where we collaborate with the client's best interests in focus. As interim unit manager for the Support and Livelihood Unit, you step into a central and responsible role during the regular unit manager's parental leave.
The unit employs 26 wonderful staff members working with financial assistance, intimate partner violence and honor-related violence and oppression, residential social contracts, management of private funds, social internships, processing of estate notifications, and harmful use/addiction. Three of these employees are senior social workers who provide support and guidance in daily case management work.
Work Responsibilities
As unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and budget. Your focus will be to ensure a good work environment, lead and coordinate operational work, and leverage the competence, commitment, and creativity of your staff.
You report to the Operations Manager for IFO and are part of IFO's management group. Together with other unit managers and support functions, you are expected to take a holistic view of IFO and actively contribute to the entire department's development and collaboration.
Your work responsibilities include, among other things:
Drive both operational and strategic matters to meet future needs within the support and livelihood unit
Ensure a safe, stable, and developmental work environment for the unit's 26 employees
Manage the unit's finances, quality, and goal fulfillment
Nurture and develop collaboration with external and internal partners
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
A degree in social work or another academic degree that the employer deems equivalent
Many years of experience working with government authority within one or more relevant areas of work
Good knowledge of and current awareness within the legislation governing the operation
Good knowledge of the Swedish language and strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing
A driver's license category B.
It is considered a merit if you have:
Experience working as a manager with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility
Personal Qualities
As a person, you are secure, stable, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills. You find it easy to build and maintain good relationships with both colleagues and external and internal partners. Because we operate in a changing environment, we see that you are flexible, can adapt to changed circumstances, and see opportunities in change. You take initiative, have a holistic perspective, and make decisions that benefit the entire operation.
