The Welfare Sector is one of the municipality's four sectors and encompasses the following operations: disability services, home care and home health care, individual and family care, as well as care and residential facilities. Home care and home health care operates throughout the municipality and includes authority functions, home health care, home care services, and short-term activities. We are responsible for services under the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Care Act, and our mission is to provide support and assistance to those who have difficulty managing daily life as well as providing good and quality-assured home health care. We are now seeking a unit manager who will share leadership of the central home care services with a colleague. Welcome to apply! 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a unit manager with us, you will have a key role in planning, leading, and developing operations with the individual's needs in focus. In the central home care services, you will lead, together with a colleague, approximately 40 employees consisting of nursing assistants, care workers, and an administrator. You are responsible for ensuring, through your leadership and good resource allocation, that our clients receive safe, high-quality, and needs-adapted care and support. Your main responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate operations with a focus on customer/client satisfaction and individual needs. • Oversee resource planning, personnel, and finances. • Ensure good quality in care and support through systematic quality work and development. • Create good conditions for employees through clear leadership, support, and resources. • Work actively with other unit managers within the sector in the operational area management group with a focus on collaboration, communication, and solution-oriented approaches. Your office is located in central Ulricehamn and is shared with our home health care service. As a unit manager, you have access to support in the form of administration and service planning, as well as support functions such as finance, HR, and good collaboration with your management colleagues. This position is a 6-month interim role. QUALIFICATIONS You have a relevant university degree, for example in social work, organization, or leadership, or another university degree that the employer deems equivalent. You also have the commitment, drive, and willingness to continue developing our elderly care services. A driver's license (Category B) is required as travel is part of the position. It is a merit if you have experience working in home care services. We are looking for someone with the ability to prioritize your work, see different solutions, show decisiveness, and make decisions. You are a confident leader and your leadership is characterized by open and direct communication, unpretentiousness, and attentiveness. The work involves a high degree of collaboration, which requires the ability to build good relationships and cooperation. Home care work requires rapid adjustments, so great importance will be placed on flexibility and personal suitability. Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
