Substitute Librarian at Högskolan Dalarna

Your day as a librarian As a librarian with us, you will have varied and developmental tasks, including: Information desk service and daily routines – provide support to students and staff in information searching and use of library resources, handling loans, returns, interlibrary loans, and other ongoing tasks Audiobooks and accessibility – work with adapted media and support for students with reading disabilities Publication of theses – administration and publication of theses in DiVA Development of facilities – participate in planning and improvement of the library's physical environments Information and communication – participate in developing the library's information and communication, both digitally and physically. Depending on your competence and experience, other tasks may also be relevant. Are you the person we are looking for? We are looking for someone who has: Degree in library and information science Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have: Experience working in an academic or university library. You are service-oriented and have good collaboration skills. You are comfortable working both independently and in teams, and you have an interest in developing the library's role in a digital and inclusive learning environment. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. Employment The employment is a substitute position until 2027-04-30, full-time (100%), with start date by agreement. Högskolan Dalarna is an educational institution operating in two locations. The placement location for this position is Borlänge, and some work will also take place in Falun.
