The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is an agency responsible for individually tailored coercive care for young people with complex psychosocial difficulties and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also carries out closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. SiS Youth Home Margretelund receives non-compulsory school-age girls and boys with psychosocial difficulties, criminality, and substance abuse. We have operations in Lidköping and near Falköping.
Job Description
Do you want to help create vital change for vulnerable young people? Then the job as a treatment secretary at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service is meaningful work.
As a treatment secretary, you are responsible for coordinating and planning care and treatment for our placed young people. You do this by:
Ensuring that treatment or enforcement planning, discharge plan, and final notes are prepared, and continuously monitored and revised.
Involve and make the young person participate in every step of the treatment or enforcement process.
Anchor the treatment or enforcement planning with the unit manager, group leader, treatment team, and department staff.
Be responsible for evaluating care and treatment efforts together with the young person.
Plan and lead the institutions' treatment collegium and guide treatment staff toward care and treatment goals in daily work.
Coordinate, plan, and lead both internal and external coordination meetings, and cooperate with the individual's private and professional network.
Coordinate and conduct needs assessments within the department's treatment team.
You will work closely with the unit manager, group leader, and department staff at the unit for which you are responsible, but will report to the quality manager where other treatment secretaries, nurses, psychologist, and ADAD coordinator are part of your work group.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training to prepare you for your new role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
You should have relevant higher education such as a degree in social work or other behavioral science education that SiS considers equivalent and comprises at least 180 credits.
It is also a merit if you have:
Experience working in activities focused on care and treatment, such as social services or other relevant activities.
Relevant knowledge of legislation, ethics, and approach for the position.
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and oral.

Employment:
This is a full-time substitute position until July 2027. Start date by agreement.
