JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of administrator at central medical records release, we offer you varied and stimulating work with many contacts within and outside Region Gävleborg. You will serve operations within Region Gävleborg by retrieving requested medical record information from various record systems. The work includes releasing patient records for private individuals, other healthcare providers, insurance companies, and various government agencies. You will manage the entire process when a medical records release is requested, from receiving the request to confidentiality review and release. The position involves extensive customer contact where the customer is the focus.

• handling of medical documents via requisitions
• managing inquiries via email, mail, and 1177 E-service
• confidentiality and legal review
• participating in improvement and development work
• mail handling.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, service-oriented, and thrives in a role where collaboration and quality are in focus, and who is a natural team player. Since the work involves handling patient records, high demands are placed on orderliness and accuracy. As a person, you are attentive and empathetic and have a flexible approach with a positive attitude toward problem-solving. To succeed in the role, we also see that you are independent, have good planning skills, and contribute to good teamwork.
To succeed in the role, you need
• training as a medical secretary or other education/competence that the employer deems relevant
• knowledge in patient safety as well as public records and confidentiality legislation
• experience with administrative work
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
For this position, it is advantageous if you have experience working with medical records management. We place high demands on personal qualities and suitability.
