We are now seeking a reliable, responsible, and empathetic substitute on-call for a man living in Sollentuna with his wife and their two children. He lives in an accessible apartment on the ground floor. The home is equipped with aids such as a floor lift, wheelchair, shower chair, and a special chair for oral care.
About the Client
The client requires 24-hour personal assistance and has extensive care needs. He is bedridden and needs help with all daily activities.
He receives nutrition and fluids via a PEG tube three times a day, as well as several different medications. The client also uses a breathing mask and a suction machine to help remove mucus.
Communication is not verbal but occurs through facial expressions, eye contact, and body language. It is therefore important that you are attentive, calm, and observant in your work.
Job Duties
Your work tasks include, among others:
Personal care and hygiene
Assistance with transfers using a floor lift
Assistance with showering, oral care, shaving, and dressing
Handling tube feeding and personal care according to instructions
Assistance with household management
Monitoring the client's well-being and comfort
Collaboration with family and other assistants
During morning routines, the position operates with two-person staffing to ensure safe and secure care.
