Jukkasjärvi Parish is seeking a substitute parish assistant for children's and youth activities with a focus on children. The substitute position is for one year with the possibility of extension. We are looking for someone who wants to help create safe, creative, and meaningful contexts for children in the church. Work Tasks The position involves planning and implementing activities for children together with other staff members. This may include child groups, open activities, creative projects, play, gatherings, simple devotions, and participation in services or other parish activities where children and families are involved. Qualifications Experience working with children is a merit, for example from preschool, school, after-school programs, volunteer organizations, or church children's activities. It is also a merit if you speak North Sámi, Meänkieli, or Finnish. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Conditions The position requires a criminal background check certificate according to applicable regulations for working with children, as well as a valid category B driver's license.
