One of our colleagues is taking parental leave, and therefore we are looking for you to help create security for elderly people through professional assessments, participation, and good treatment.
The position is a substitute role that extends through September 2027, giving you the opportunity to become part of our work team for an extended period.
What can we offer you?
As a social secretary, you are responsible for the exercise of authority according to applicable legislation and have a central role in meeting elderly people and their relatives. The work is characterized by independence, responsibility, and close collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders.
The position is placed within the unit for elderly and functional impairment investigation, which consists of a unit manager, social secretaries (SoL and LSS), transportation service officers, and administrative staff.
The work includes, among other things:
investigating, assessing, and making decisions on interventions according to applicable legislation
documenting and following up on decided interventions
cooperating with colleagues, providers, and other internal and external stakeholders
meeting individuals and relatives in different life situations
The interventions primarily concern elderly people in need of support in the form of home care services, alarm systems for safety, meal distribution, day activities, short-term housing, and respite care.
What are we looking for in you?
We are looking for someone who has:
a degree in social work or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent
very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
good computer skills
a class B driver's license
Meritorious:
knowledge of relevant legislation
experience in the exercise of authority, at least one year
Personal qualities
You have good treatment of others and enjoy meeting people in different life situations. You work independently, in a structured manner, and have a good ability to prioritize.
You also find it easy to collaborate and actively contribute to the group's development. Adapting communication and information to the person you meet is self-evident to you, in order to create security, participation, and understanding.
