We are looking for a church sexton for Karlsborg Parish, currently stationed at Undenäs congregation.
The work duties consist mainly of outdoor service, including all types of churchyard maintenance, minor property upkeep such as painting and wallpapering, and facility cleaning in the churches. During winter, there is snow clearing duty on weekends and public holidays. The work team also shares indoor service duties during funerals and church services. Expect to work every third weekend.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing and responsive, who performs green space maintenance with machinery and manual labor. You should ideally be able to operate a ride-on lawn mower, loader, and excavator. Knowledge of how to wash and service machinery is important. You should be someone who can see what needs to be done among the varying work tasks and organize the work accordingly. During the summer period, you will help supervise seasonal workers or interns. We place great importance on you fitting in socially with our work team. If you have various driver's licenses, a chainsaw certificate, or a grave digging certificate, please mention this in your application.
Desirable qualifications: Relevant training, previous work in church settings, good machinery experience, ability to perform basic repairs/service on machinery, customer service orientation.
For this position, a driver's license and access to your own car are required.
