Locum Junior Doctor in Neurology

We offer a locum position as a junior doctor in neurology with varied and stimulating tasks at our highly specialized clinic. Our Offer The Neurology Clinic is a highly specialized clinic with regional responsibility for the entire Southeast Healthcare Region. The clinic includes a department with an acute neurology unit, a stroke unit, a highly specialized diagnostic unit, and a monitoring unit. The clinic provides outpatient care in both Linköping and Norrköping and covers all neurological diagnostic areas. The clinic also includes a neuromuscular unit characterized by unique and well-developed integration between clinical operations and advanced laboratory diagnostics, and has been awarded the status of a nationally highly specialized unit (NHV) in competition with other units in the country. Job Description The position involves work at the acute care department and outpatient services. Our outpatient services are divided into seven different sections where much of the work is conducted in multidisciplinary teams. Our outpatient services are located in both Linköping and Norrköping. On-call duties may become relevant after six months of service. On-call service includes care for neurological patients, both locally and regionally. Work Group The clinic has approximately 160 employees, of which approximately 35 are physicians. The operations are organized into seven sections, where work is largely conducted in multidisciplinary teams with close collaboration between different professional categories. You will work with colleagues who have extensive and broad experience in neurology. About You The current position requires Swedish medical licensure. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language to communicate freely with patients, relatives, and colleagues. You are a stable person who adapts easily to different situations and enjoys working in teams. You have good collaborative skills and work in a structured manner even under occasionally high workload. In stressful situations, you remain calm and controlled. We value a positive and professional approach where the patient is always in focus. Application and Employment The employment is a 6-month locum position while one of the colleagues is on parental leave. Start towards the end of the year and is planned to run until June 30, 2027.
