The Education Department is responsible for, among other things, preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The responsibility also includes student health services, mother tongue instruction, school transportation, and school meals. The Workplace Rectorate Area Downtown East consists of Pilevallskolan F-9, Mother Tongue Unit, School Introduction, and two preschools. The area is led by one principal together with three assistant principals, an administrative manager, and a kitchen manager from a 1-16 year perspective. Rectorate Area Downtown East is an area where cultural diversity is a strength. Pilevallskolan is an F-9 school. The school has a football profile at the upper secondary level. Job Responsibilities We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language in grades 7-9. In this role you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction for five classes in grades 7-9 in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language. You will also teach one hour per week in one of our smaller teaching groups. At Pilevallskolan, students are taught Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language together. You actively participate in the work team's work on instructional development and the school's overall development issues. The position also includes mentoring for students. We use SchoolSoft as our documentation platform for planning, assessment, and communication with students and guardians. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language with qualifications to teach in grades 7-9. It is a merit if you have several years of experience working in schools. You have a strong interest in pedagogy and learning as well as good subject matter and didactic competence. You create structure in instruction and have the ability to lead and motivate students in their knowledge development. As a person you are development-oriented, positive, and action-oriented. You have good communication skills, can see situations from a holistic perspective, and collaborate well with students, guardians, and colleagues. You work responsibly and flexibly and adapt instruction based on students' needs and the operation's conditions. You contribute to creating safe and stimulating learning environments where students are given the conditions to succeed. Through engaged and clear leadership you inspire students and have high expectations for their development and learning. Other Information This is a fixed-term employment at 100%.
