About the Unit
The Education Unit is a central part of the Air Combat School (LSS) and works closely with Headquarters, the Air Force Staff, defense schools, and air squadrons. Our task is to create conditions for the Air Force's future personnel and skills supply by leading, coordinating, quality assuring, and developing educational activities. We are part of the active defense commitment for Sweden.
About the Position
Act as an English teacher including subject matter in a military context. Prepare, conduct, and follow up on language instruction. Perform assessment and grading of students. Participate in function coordination and development work within the language subject. Conduct language instruction at schools, military units, etc. outside LSS. When needed, be able to support other Swedish Armed Forces with language skills.
In this role, you are responsible for the English subject at LSS. Your main tasks include subject development, instruction, and quality assurance.
A partial task is to collaborate and support course leaders with planning, implementation, implementation, and evaluation of activities related to the unit's defense branch training.
Qualifications
Academic degree, at least bachelor's level, in the relevant language or equivalent knowledge area
Professional experience in language instruction
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
Personal Qualities
You are structured and orderly with good collaborative skills. Independence and initiative-taking are natural qualities in you. You are service-oriented and have the ability to establish new contacts within and outside the organization. Interest and experience in educational activities are an advantage. We are looking for unpretentious individuals ready to handle various tasks in a growing organization.

Meritorious
Experience teaching English at university/college level
Experience with web-based learning regarding tools, methods, and pedagogy
International experience in language services, e.g., NATO context
Military training
Work experience from the Swedish Armed Forces
Good experience working in an office environment with experience in Microsoft 365
