We are seeking an engaged nursing assistant who wants to help create safety, independence, and quality of life for our service users. In this role, you'll meet people in their home environments and help them live independently according to their individual needs. You'll become part of a team characterized by collaboration, compassion, and high-quality care.
About the Role
You'll have varied work supporting service users in their daily lives based on individual needs. You'll assist with personal care, hygiene, meals, cleaning, and shopping, and perform delegated tasks from licensed personnel. You'll document according to established procedures and provide important support to both service users and their families. Together with your colleagues, you'll work to create safe, secure, and high-quality care with the service user at the center.
You'll work day and evening shifts plus every other weekend. These are temporary positions with 75–100% coverage. The length of the assignment varies between six months and one and a half years.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must:
Be a trained nursing assistant
Feel confident working under delegation from licensed personnel
Be able to independently communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. This is a requirement to ensure patient safety and proper documentation.
Be able to cycle in all weather conditions

About the Workplace
As a nursing assistant with us, you'll work in service users' homes in the Stenhagen and Ekeby areas. It's important that you're comfortable moving between different homes and meeting people in different life situations.
To get between service users, you need to be able to cycle year-round. We use well-equipped and well-maintained bicycles that allow you to travel safely and securely even in poor weather conditions.
You'll become part of a team that values collaboration, quality, and professional conduct. Together, we work to create safety and good quality of life for our service users every day.

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title. To use the title nursing assistant, you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate showing you were employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. Those with nursing assistant training but lacking proof or certification may use the title care assistant during a transition period.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to applicable salary agreements.
