The Position and Your Tasks As a teacher, you are an important part of helping Botkyrka municipality become Sweden's best school municipality, where students succeed in school and develop according to their unique abilities. In your role, you conduct language-developing instruction that engages students as well as related tasks such as preparation and follow-up of instruction and grading. You are part of the intermediate grades team and actively work with the team to develop toward common goals with a solution-focused approach. You contribute to collegial collaboration by being curious, humble, and always keeping students' best interests in focus. Additionally, you serve as a change agent in developing a good pedagogical and social learning environment. Therefore, together with your mentor colleague and other school functions, you conduct regular needs assessments of your student groups and adapt instruction to meet student needs while tracking structured and measurable progress over time. With a strong sense of agency, you see opportunities to transform and improve instruction based on student needs, so that all students are given the best possible conditions to develop to their full potential. Mentorship is a central part of your role, including social contact regarding students and classes, communication with guardians, absence management and development conversations, as well as collaboration with authorities and social services. In your role, you collaborate with the student support team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your instruction. What We're Looking For We are seeking a certified teacher with credentials to teach Swedish and social studies in grades 4-6. You have experience and great interest in teaching, and you are a safe and warm leader with authoritative leadership. Required Qualifications: • Teaching certification with credentials for grades 4–6 in Swedish and social studies • Experience teaching in the intermediate grades • Strong ability to build safe relationships and a positive learning environment • Good command of Swedish in speech and writing • Experience using digital tools in instruction • Ability to collaborate and contribute to the school's development work Meritorious: • Experience with Vklass • Knowledge of cooperative learning • Experience working in multicultural and multilingual learning environments • Competence in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) As a person, you are interested in staying current and are at the forefront of your profession.
