Read more about us at www.familjen.nu Personal Assistant Needed Full-Time for a 17-Year-Old Girl in Trångsund We are now seeking a committed and responsible personal assistant for a 17-year-old girl with extensive care and supervision needs. Due to acute illness of one of our employees, we can offer a full-time position as a temporary assignment with immediate start date extending through December 1, 2026, with excellent opportunity to maintain your schedule where we can offer a permanent position thereafter. The girl lives with her family in Trångsund and has around-the-clock assistance, including awake nights. As a personal assistant, you become an important part of her daily life and work closely with both her and her family. This wonderful young woman enjoys music, films, walks, and outings. She attends school and recreational activities during daytime, and no assistance is provided there, which means work shifts are primarily scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and weekends. During school breaks and other vacation periods, work shifts are also scheduled during daytime on weekdays. She uses a wheelchair, has autism, and epilepsy. As a personal assistant, you support her throughout her everyday life – care, ADL, activities, and medication – with respect for her integrity, needs, and abilities. The goal is for her to live as rich and secure a teenage life as possible, based on her circumstances. About the Position The position consists of a fixed schedule that includes: - Afternoon shifts where you pick up the girl from school/activities at 15:30-21:00 - Awake night 21:00-09:00 - Shifts every other weekend at 09:00-15:00 or 15:00-21:00 During certain periods you work together with a colleague in the form of double assistance, which creates opportunities to carry out activities outside the home and contribute to a meaningful and fulfilling daily life. During school breaks, the girl often stays home to a greater extent, which means we are looking for you to be flexible and able to adapt to her needs and daily routine, including daytime shifts during weekdays (08:00-17:00). For this role, it is appropriate to have previous experience with medication delegation and epilepsy.
