Temporary Position – Residential Advisor 75% at Slottegymnasiet

Description Slottegymnasiet is a modern upper secondary school offering both college-preparatory and vocational programs, as well as national sports education programs. Many of our students come from other parts of the country and reside at our student dormitory during their studies. We are now seeking a residential advisor for a temporary position at 75%. As a residential advisor, you are an important part of the students' daily life and contribute to a safe, secure, and welcoming living environment. The role is well-suited for someone who is responsible, has good judgment, and enjoys working independently while having a genuine interest in young people's development and well-being. Working hours are scheduled for evenings, nights, and certain weekends according to a set schedule. Job Responsibilities As a residential advisor, you are responsible for safety, supervision, and order at the student dormitory. You are a present adult who creates structure and helps students feel secure during their time at the dormitory. Your tasks include, among others: - being visible and available to students during your shift - ensuring a calm, safe, and orderly environment at the dormitory - conducting regular rounds of common areas - serving as adult support through conversations and guidance - reminding students about routines related to study time, evening curfews, and bedtime - when necessary, directing students to the appropriate resources, such as school administration, student health services, guardians, or Ljusdalshem - performing basic facility supervision and reporting any damage or defects Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, responsible, and has a genuine interest in working with young people. You are a stable person who inspires trust, have a professional demeanor, and can build good relationships while being clear and consistent when the situation requires it. We are seeking someone with a natural ability to collaborate, who enjoys working with others and taking independent responsibility alike. You are accustomed to making thoughtful decisions, even when unexpected situations arise. A high school diploma and experience supporting young people or other individuals in need of extra support are qualifications we highly value. You speak fluent Swedish and communicate clearly and warmly, contribute to a positive work environment, and have good computer skills.
