The Social Services Department is responsible for services, support, and assistance to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and we must implement services regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by putting the individual at the center to meet each person's needs. The mission involves strong customer focus and service mindedness. The LSS and Social Psychiatry Provider with over 350 permanent employees is a provider service aimed at children, young people, and adults. We are governed by, among other things, the LSS, SoL, and HSL acts and have responsibility for implementing services regulated by these laws. The operations are characterized by placing the individual at the center and collaborating to meet each person's needs. The service has strong customer focus, good service mindedness, and provides conditions for boundary-crossing work that is both inspiring and competency-developing. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a residential support worker, you work to provide help and support in the home to adults with varying difficulties and needs within the areas of LSS and social psychiatry. You work with motivation and change initiatives through close contact, conversations, and practical support, based on the individual's needs. This may include, for example, helping people create structure in their everyday life and perform daily tasks, providing support with various contacts with authorities, and assisting individuals in different activities toward an independent life. You also collaborate and cooperate with relevant actors internally and externally and document your work as needed. A large part of the work is performed independently. Collegial support is always available to discuss problems; you meet your colleagues at the unit daily and need to be flexible in both giving and receiving help as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies • You have at least two years of education from a vocational college in social work, such as treatment pedagogue, or other post-secondary education deemed equivalent. • You have strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. • You have a Class B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles. • You have experience from work within social psychiatry and/or LSS. You are stable and confident in yourself, handle stress constructively, and maintain a good mood under pressure and setbacks. You maintain a realistic perspective on situations and focus on the right things. You are confident in yourself, stand up for your opinions, and have the courage to speak up when needed. You have the ability to separate the matter from the person and can feel secure even in uncertain situations. You easily adapt, develop, and learn new things following changed requirements, conditions, or circumstances. You see opportunities in changes and can also change your perspective and approach. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: As soon as possible, end date: 2026-11-30.
