Would you like a challenging and rewarding job in a welcoming environment? We are now looking for a support educator for Lyckåsen's group home in Knivsta. About the role As a support educator, you will work alongside your colleagues in direct contact with the residents. Additionally, you will implement and apply Nytida's framework for pedagogy and contribute to developing personalized educational approaches for the residents. This will support residents in utilizing their cognitive and social abilities, strengthen their self-esteem, and enable a health-promoting life by serving as a role model and motivating them toward wellness. Together with other staff members, you will work to make each day meaningful and enriching by providing person-centered care, ensuring comfortable facilities, and participating in activities with residents. You will also mentor and support staff in social documentation and implementation plans, guide newly hired employees, and collaborate with the group manager and operations manager on development projects. Becoming a manager could also be a future career opportunity for you. Work hours include daytime, evening shifts, and some weekends. About the unit Lyckåsen is a residential facility with six places for adults with autism, autism-like conditions, and/or other disabilities. The home is peacefully located in a residential area, centrally situated in Knivsta and close to public transportation. Your experience and knowledge You are trained as a support educator from a vocational university or have relevant higher education. You have good computer skills, experience with documentation, and strong Swedish language skills both written and spoken. Additional requirement is experience working with the LSS target group. As a person, you have a positive outlook and strong commitment to people. You are responsible, thorough, and enjoy working in a team. You like to share your experiences and support colleagues in pedagogy, documentation, and interaction. You are also expected to participate in strategic planning work and quality improvement in close collaboration with the operations management. At Nytida, we are constantly evolving.
