Business Description Maria Preschool is located in central Gällivare with proximity to the library, swimming hall, and museum. Maria Preschool has organized its activities in age-divided groups. The preschool consists of 2 buildings with separate outdoor areas. In one building there are 3 departments with children ages 1–2 years. In the other building there are 5 departments with children in age-divided groups ages 3–5 years. At Maria Preschool, we work in 3, 4, and 5-year-old groups, which means that the work teams collaborate across departments and give children the opportunity to explore and discover various learning environments. Job Responsibilities Work as a preschool teacher involves working together with your team to create a safe and developmental education for the children in the preschool's department. The curriculum guidelines describe the responsibility you have in the work team regarding developing, monitoring, and evaluating the activities and education. As a preschool teacher, you are part of a work team and participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching that the children are offered. In collaboration with the work team, children should be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation in their social development. Qualifications Trained preschool teacher or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is important that you: are familiar with our governing document, Curriculum for the Preschool (Lpfö18), are a confident and clear leader, have initiative, are positive and have faith in children's various competencies, are interested in developing learning environments, value trustworthy relationships with children and guardians and have good collaboration skills, use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work, Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a merit in applications for employment in Gällivare Municipality. You will need to provide an extract from the police criminal record for work in schools and childcare upon employment. Other Information With your application, we would like a CV.
