Do you like taking responsibility and being engaged in your assignments? Then you might be who we're looking for! We currently need personal care assistants for a man in his 60s living in central Örebro. He's a wonderful person with a good sense of humor. He enjoys music and likes to go on walks and participate in activities. He needs help with his daily living activities as he has been diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). As an assistant, you will help with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and other personal care needs. You will use lifting equipment when needed for transfers. You will also help with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry. The client has a PEG ("feeding tube") through which he receives nutrition and medication. You will assist with this, and delegation will be carried out by a nurse. You should be engaged, positive, empathetic, and a good listener. It is important that you communicate well and are able to take in information quickly—as this is crucial for the client to feel understood. We also value candidates with humor and flexibility in their personality. We appreciate candidates with experience as a care assistant, but this is not a requirement. Personal suitability is of utmost importance. Work shifts are divided into three schedules: Day shift: 07:20 - 15:20 Evening shift: 14:15 - 22:30 Night shift: 21:30 - 08:00 You must be able to work irregular hours. We are primarily looking for substitute caregivers who can cover for the regular assistant during illness and leave.
