Then you might be the person we're looking for. About the Position As an outfitter/assembler, you will work with welding, fabrication, assembly, and outfitting of boats. Your tasks will cover everything from sheet metal preparation and welding to installation. The work takes place both in the workshop and onboard vessels, where you are responsible for ensuring that tasks are performed according to drawings, instructions, and the company's quality standards. You will work on both pre-assembly and final assembly, as well as fabricate and install components such as doors, hatches, and various equipment details. Responsibilities Sheet metal preparation, cutting, bending, and processing of materials MIG and TIG welding, primarily in aluminum Fabrication and assembly of doors, hatches, and equipment Pipe bending and rolling of sheet metal and pipes Assembly and installation onboard vessels Commissioning, troubleshooting, and remedying assembly defects Performance and documentation of self-inspections Work based on drawings, photos, and verbal instructions We Are Looking for You If You Have education from a Construction Program with a focus on sheet metal work or an Industrial Technology Program with a focus on welding, or equivalent work experience Have good tool and machinery knowledge Have experience welding various materials Have experience with sheet metal work and assembly work Can read and interpret drawings Are thorough and quality-conscious Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks Have good problem-solving skills Enjoy collaborating and sharing your knowledge Desirable Qualifications Experience working in the shipbuilding, marine, or process industry Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting Swede Ship Marine is a newbuilding shipyard located in Djupvik on Tjörn, with a history dating back to 1894.
