About the position Personal care assistance is a service provided under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Services for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). In your role as a personal care assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. The client is a man living in Norrby, Haninge. He uses a wheelchair and needs your support with transfers (a lift is available in the home) as well as with personal care and everyday tasks. The assignment also includes managing medical equipment, as the client uses a cough assist machine and a breathing machine during both day and night. He has a strong interest in classic cars, 1950s music, and ice hockey – Djurgården is his team! We are now seeking two new assistants for his team. Who are you? The role of personal care assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. You have good physical fitness and feel comfortable working with transfers and medical equipment (training will be provided on-site). It is important that you have good communication skills and take initiative to see what needs to be done. For this position, you must: – Have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing – Have good physical fitness as lifting and transfers are involved – Be completely smoke-free – For Day/Evening shifts: Have a Class B driver's license (automatic) to drive the client's car for outings and activities For this position, it is an advantage if you: – Have access to your own car (public transportation is available, but a car facilitates transportation to and from the client) – Share one of the client's interests: either classic cars/1950s music or ice hockey Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working hours, employment percentage, and salary The current employment arrangement is "for as long as the care assistance assignment lasts." We are seeking candidates for two different positions: Position 1: Day/Evening/Weekend (approximately 95%) Work is scheduled on weekdays plus 1 Friday and 1 weekend (Friday to Sunday) per 4-week period Shift times: 08:15–21:00, 08:15–16:00, and 16:00–21:00 Position 2: Awake night shifts (approximately 48%) Involves 6 awake night shifts per 4-week period, scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Shift times: 20:00–09:00 or 21:00–09:00 Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation in accordance with the collective agreement.
